The new think tank, directed by Filippo Taidelli in collaboration with FujiFilm Italia, will “connect healthcare environments with the outside world”, both in terms of life and nature.
The COVID-19 crisis has widened the distance between patients and medical environments. This gap is accentuated by the structural limitations of diagnostic and radiology departments, where rooms have no natural light and are full of complex machines that make the layout even less flexible.
The response is a multifunctional kit designed to reawaken the user’s sensory memory. A plant-filled patio turns the waiting room into an oasis; the corridor is transformed into a loggia looking out over the horizon and the X-ray room takes on the appearance of a light box as you gaze at the sky through a wide skylight.
This expressive installation is, in short, a corner of playful meditation that breaks down the physical boundaries of the loggia, opening up an abstract landscape that encourages us to turn the gaze inwards.
