Barilla Lab - Design Competition

The project foresees the re-use of an existing “cascina”, a traditional rural building, located within the Barilla complex in Parma, in order to create a path for the selection of personnel through a sensorial journey. The “Assessment Day” is therefore a sequence of thematic rooms, each dedicated to a sense (sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste). The project was developed with the help of a team of consultants: designers, psychologists and graphic designers, to provide spatial solutions and specially designed devices to stimulate the senses and generate unique experiences according to the theme of each room. The project includes the Barilla’s museum of history and products and its design as well as the one conceived for each room intends to emphasize the company’s corporate image.
